I reported today that my Dad had fallen at work and cut his head, necessitating 8 stitches. Fortunately, there was somebody there at work with him, because on occasion, especially at weekends, he was there on his own. Remember this was a long time before the European (Health and Safety) 6 Pack, one strand of which would cover lone working, so I guess he was a tad lucky.
In the day’s football, or what was left of it, Liverpool scored a 2-0 win at Charlton, whilst Shrewsbury suffered a 1-0 reversal at Reading. There were of course quite a few games which didn’t happen due to the snow, and also waterlogged pitches.
