If Malcolm McLaren was the Godfather of Punk, then he must be in some way responsible for the vibe of early 1980’s music too. of course he fell out with Adam Ant – check the lyrics of Stand and Deliver, but he delivered Bow Wow Wow and of course his own musical offerings, including Double Dutch. And I loved that programme he did about Thomas De Quincy and his Confessions of an English Opium Eater. Top notch stuff. RIP Malcolm.
